I decided to grab a piece of steel, and have a go at machining a conrod for my S50 build, which I haven't yet started. This was mainly for practice I guess, as I haven't built anything challenging yet. Looking forward to starting the kit properly, and I will make the other one up. It's a case of trying techniques and practice, and the more I do, the more confident I feel. Getting better with sizing too
Anyway, here is my practice piece. I'm quite pleased with that so far. There are differences in the sizes between the Stuart plans and the ME articles, but when it comes to the proper build, I'll take time to mentally assemble the parts, and make accordingly.
