Brian, apologies. Just dug out the article and it's the one you already have i.e. Vol 158. After I made mine and some use, I did modify it to beef it up.
Brian, just checked Vol 160 issue 3824. The article published in Vol 160 is by the same author – A. Mellor, but with more detail of the small riveter displayed on page 576 of Vol 158.
That Minnie spoke rivetter in the picture is very similar to the one we have at the museum, ours was bought from somewhere, but quite easy to make. Ours has a choice of throat depths and about 12 anvils, including a couple that I made. I also modified an old block of steel to hold the tool in a vise.
