I welcome the reprinting of classic series by old masters like LBSC, perhaps we could see some ETW or Duplex too?

One reservation is that perhaps they need a caveat taht 'things may have changed' or better still a short (just a couple of hundred words max) paragraph at the end of observations from a contemporary expert. For example, with Rodean, there might need to be updates on boiler designs or even modern alternatives for things like gold size and boss white!

Given that there seems to be a lot of interest in Tich perhaps David's next LBSC reprint could be the words to go with the music (plans) from 2010, ideally with those short commentaries. Hopefully the short nature of the extra text would mean the cost involved would be negligible.

          Hi Stub Mandrel

I did put a paragraph with the Roedean boiler.

Certainly, ETW and Tich could be repeated but I don't really want to republish material that has already appeared in Model Engineer.

Roedean was never in Model Engineer, it was published in English Mechanics.

The next one for Model Engineer will be Bantam Cock which Is why I am running it in ME.

Steve Eaton has built one and said the drawings were perfect, no errors, and it runs well.

The one I am trying to decide on is the Nemmet 15cc engine.

Should I run the complete construction book and the latest drawings in Model Engineer or should I go straight into the 15cc twin and 7.5cc single?

          What do members think?

          regards David

Do the two that haven't seen light of day first then you can always revisit the Nemmet.

              David,

I would be interested in seeing the 7.5cc single first – a small 4-stroke would follow on nicely from the 2-stroke Firefly. It would then seem logical to do the twin. I don't think we really need the 15cc single again just yet, except perhaps to comment on any changes to the drawings.

              Just my tuppence worth.

              Rod

                Hi There

I will do the 15cc twin first.

The 7.5cc uses parts from the twin so needs doing later.

                regards David
