On the 6th of April this year I posted a request for information on the CL300 lathe. I received the information I required and am very grateful to all who responded. The original posting has now misteriously re-appeared dated 11/8/2010. This has also happened with other threads. WHY?

What you are seeing is contributors adding to your original post. When this happens the forum is showing the date and time of that posting. As you are well aware we do not own the thread that we create, and it can be hijacked. This means that it can, and often does go off at a tangent to the original posting. As far as I can see there is nothing that can, or should be done to alter this. This is after all a forum for the exchange of ideas, and a point where help from more knowlegable members can benifit us all. We can all learn, even from the newest beginer. See I have hijacked the thread and gone on a rant

            Hi Anthony,
I agree with Dusty. It would seem pointless to start a new thread with basically the same topic. It could eventually grow to cover many faults on the CL300 controller board. It would then be the first place for people with a similar problem to look for information. It would also be nice to know if your problem has now been resolved.
            Les.

              Hi guys
just checked my E mail and found the new postings which for some reason had been shunted into the junk folder. Probably need to adjust the junk mail settings.
Regarding my original post and the responses I got, I have repaired and tested the original speed control PCB and it is now available as a replacement  for my lathe, should the need arise.
Thank you to everyone who helped.
