Rare Stuart Turner 10 V with side pillar on Ebay

This is a very old Stuart !0 V on EBay. It is only the second one I have ever seen and one was the casting kit/

This one is built (looks quite badly machined) but must have a rarity value.

If any one buys it please contact me as I would lie a few more details of it.

if any one has a set of drawings or better still a set of castings for this engine please let me know. Photographs welcome as well.

Not so rare, the was one for sale on FB a couple of weeks ago. seen several others there this year too.

Also worth noting it was supplied with all the main machining done to the castings, just some drilling and tapping required so you won't find a raw set of castings.

I did not realise there were no unmachined castings. I did see a set on EBay but it was 20 years ago so they may have been machined.

It would not be hard to recreate either doing the bed casting and standard from solid or as a fabrication. Could also modify an existing 10V bed and just make the standard. Here is one I did earlier which is similar size to the original No7 which also had the single standard and rod rather than the A frame trunk guide. Probably the next of my series 24 engines to go in ME as already mentioned to Martin, though I may do one of the smaller ones like the Basset Lowke Eclipse or Stuart Simplex first.

That is a lovely engine. That is how I figured on doing it using a basic Stuart Kit with a new standard and lower cylinder cover.
