Random Logging In and Out

Weird – I log in and go to a thread to reply and I can’t because I am logged out. I log back in and try again – again logged out and can’t post – other threads and forums, seemingly at random allow me to post or, as in this case, start a new thread.

Not local caching as that was my first thought.

I am aware this has already been reported but that thread won’t let me post …………. !

Will try again tomorrow but if this continues this site is not fit for purpose as what good it it if you can’t contribute to a discussion!

High Nick Clarke 3, the same thing has happened to me in the last few days, I found that refreshing the page using the circle with the arrow head in the browser, when logged in resolved the problem for me.

As stated in another thread I had this problem. I still have it but refreshing the screen, as advised a few days ago, works.

As far as I am concerned this is a working forum. It still could be improved but the speed is OK. Access to profiles and an indication of the number of postings a participant has made would be more than useful.

I am no longer interested in the long posts about the failings of the forum.

Thanks to all who have worked hard to rectify the teething problems.

Have just logged in, but when I go to the “Is the website being worked on?” thread, it it insists that I log in.

Doing so, still does not allow me to reply.

MicG says that it “A dog’s breakfast”

If I fed a dog like this, I would expect the RSPCA to call.

The n umber of postings is steadily decreasing, FAR less than the old site, before it was “Improved”

I am just about at the point of giving up (As have so many others)

The new site is costing many model engineers, from newcomers to the experienced,  to miss oiut on information and interest.

Mortons need to be aware that not only is the wbsite losing numbers, but probably subscriptions as well.

Gentlemen, despite all the work piut in by the Moderators, it looks like the last chance saloon.
