A friend is making Ivan Laws' lovely model of Rainhill and he's asked me if I know what the part circled in red on the photo is. I think its a snifter valve but another friend thinks it may be a pot lubricator is there any one whose built this model give us the answer.

Looks more like a lubricator, this one even more so
