I installed some replacement round LED roof lights after some fluorecent lights went up in smoke, now I have radio noise,  lights bought from reputable shop, flurecent lights not freely available  anymore.

My question is, can I do something to the radio, rather than to each light, to get rid of the problem-?

No, it is highly unlikey that you fix it at the radio end. The only possibility is if the interference is conducted down the mains which is unlikely.

You should contact the vendor of the lights.

Thanks, I have some other LED spotlights not causing interference, however I experienced similar interference from those small spotlights which is sold at large scale. I will contact company.

Robert knows better than me, but it is the electronics feeding the LEDs, contact the seller. Noel.

Robert is probably right, but moving or rotating the radio might help.  An AM radio has a directional antenna, and maybe the interference can be nulled out, and/or weakened by moving further from the source.

FM and DAB work from a whip antenna, and it may be possible to replace it with a coax fed external antenna on the roof.   These pick up much more signal and far less interference; great apart from the cost and hassle.

If the radio is portable, worth moving it close to each LED lamp in turn to confirm they are all faulty.  Possible that the suppression on one lamp has failed and the others are OK.

Worth a try, I’m not optimistic though.

How about an internet connected speaker, or an MP3 player?
