The drawing and photograph of part 33 (piston rod) shows the rod being 3mm dia. with a 5.5mm dia lip. The text says the end should be turned down to form a shoulder. Which is correct.

I would say that the shoulder and lip are the same thing, the short end being turned to suit the 6ba thread.

The end is turned down for the 6BA thread but from a 3mm Dia. bar, so where does the 5.5mm come from.

If you look at the drawing and the photo there is a 5.5mm dia flange thats 1mm thick and 11mm from the the end. You will either have to it from 7/32 reducing teh ends to 3mm and 0.110 or silver solder a flange onto some 3mm rod and just turn the top down to 0.110 for the 6BA thread.

I assume the cross head bears against this flange and is retained by the 6ba nut

On the boiler drawings in ME is there an error on the measurements of the bosses as the numbers just don’t add up, I have moved the safety valve bosses to 15mm from the ends of the boiler, next also on the boiler layout the fire tube/box  is 6mm longer than the boiler and I imagine the fire box door sits on this 6mm but on the drawing it shows it the other way around, has anybody got any thoughts on this.

Another anomaly shows the pins on the track at 15.52mm but the text states 16.00mm.
                  Which is correct.

If like me you have found great difficulty in tracking down the 22mm part cross over and almost given up as it’s made from 100% unobtainium and only bought in a pack of 10 to special order, I fell lucky today and found a local firm with 4 on the shelf at low cost so if like me you were having trouble I can share the information as to the whereabouts (north west) or even post you 1 if need be.
