I have acquired a 'Quick' cut knurling tool and wonder if anyone has used one of these and can help out with any information on use and adjustment.

I have stripped and cleaned the tool which seems to work fine, although I am not sure i have the worm gears controlling the movement of the wheels set up correctly. If these a way of ensuring these are in the right mesh?
Also, what is the purpose of the 2 countersunk dog point screws arrowed in the picture? They align with rebates in the wheel spindles but appear too short to do anything.

I asssume the allen screw arrowed below is a clamp for locking the wheel spindles. Does it have any other purpose?

As I have the wheels set, there is no clearance for long pieces, although the scalloped form of the tool would suggest that these should be accomodated. Should the tool cope with knurling longer pieces than the gap between the wheels and the body?

Many thanks for any answers,
Rgds,
John
