I got my knurls, coarse, medium and fine R & L pairs from Cromwell a year or so back as being a decent price for known brand.
JHL which seem decent quality.
Around £15 each now which, I think, is more than I paid. With 20/20 hindsight I ought to have got the three grades of straight ones too.
Pins are ordinary hardened dowels, 7/32 x 5/8. I got a pack of 20 from Boneham for £ very reasonable but I was ordering other things too.
Totally agree that the Marlco is the bees bits for quick easy knurling. But it can't do everything.
Had to do 2.5 diameter the other day so my trusty Pratt & Whitney pivoting push knurler got hauled out. Once I'd remebered how to set the height, top knurl on work centre line not pivot, it did a good jiob quickly. Actualy I'd forgotten how effective it was.
