pyrte 1 1/2” scale

hi just received the plans for this simple traction engine it appeals to me due to ease of construction and fairly quick to complete now it will happly pull one person its in 1 1/2'' scale and is 26'' long now the thing is would it be adequate use at a rally field as this is the reason for building it for a local show next year…………………. would i be better scale up the measurments to say a large 2'' scale model

this ios my first dabble with traction engines so help would be appreciated

If your show next year on on a well kept grass playing field then you should be OK, long grass on a farmers field/paddock will likely be a challenge and in either case wet weather could see you bogged down. A small engine will almost certainly need constant attention to keep the fire going and water at the right level so don't hope to be able to leave it parked outside the beer tent gently ticking over for half an hour.
