I have recently bought a Pultra lathe complete with a Mardrive clutch unit, unfortunately the motor is running in the wrong direction how do I change the motor setting to get it to run the other way.

Does it have a reversing switch ? Is it single phase  or 3ph ? For 3 phase swap any 2 phases for single phase swap the start winding connections ONLY. Depending on the motor this could be the yellow and blue wires. Red and black should be the run windings. Good Luck. Noel.

Nothing in manual but the belts can change direction of rotation.

On the Pultra drive unit I had the motor drove a counter shaft and was not connected direct to the lathe, is yours directly belted to the lathe ?

              Thanks for the reply.

The motor plate says swap the blue and black wires on terminals A & AZ as you said.

No blue wire terminals A has thick wire on it and Z has a thin wire these are linked by a wire and terminal AZ has a thick and thin wire.
I assume i should swap the thin wires over as the thick ones are the windings?

its single phase and it doesn’t have a reversing switch.

If your terminal plate has 3 terminals, A, Z and AZ I would expect A to have 2 wires on it ( a thin wire and black ) AZ to have 2 wires (red and yellow ), and Z to have a thin wire and blue. You do not say but I’m assuming that you have a capacitor on the motor, a round lump, this is the 2 thin wires. A to neutral and AZ to line (live ) and a good earth connection. This colour code is not universal so I would do as the motor plate says. Good Luck. Noel.

Thanks Noel going the right way now.
