ME has now been increased in price but what are we getting for the additional cost ?

        Error free drawings no

Proof read and corrected articles no

As I buy the magazine for its content a price increase would have been more acceptable if the quality of the content had been improved and not just to cover the cost of printing on higher quality more expensive paper.

It is not just for better paper, have you not noticed inflation affecting everything? If you want better content, write something, the Editor can only publish what he receives!!

Inflation has affected everything including the cost of advertising in the magazine which could offset the price increase.

It's not better content but better quality of content. The editor can only publish what he recieves but hopefully after errors and omissions have been corrected so it doesn't matter who writes it.

              Hi There

As usual no one told me of the price increase so I could not mention it in the editorial.

Yes the price has gone up slightly but look at the amount of articles and pages you get compared to when I took over. I increased the page count to 68, it was 60. I increased the page rate for most contributors, the minimum rate is now £50 per page, it was £40. Complete locomotive design and build series attract £75 a page. As far as I know at the time of writing, subscriptions have not gone up. I was not aware we had increased the paper quality.

              regards David

I would glady sell my family and all my possessions to pay my ME subscription.

Well, perhaps not quite. Anybody want a slightly soiled Staffordshire Bull Terrier?
