          Hi Stew

          Another dimensional query

On starting to make the cylinder fabrication it shows a cylinder centerlines dimension of 66.3 mm on checking the crank dimensions and adding up your dimensions it adds up to cylinder center lines of 60.4 mm is this correct or am i missing something

          Thanks SB

PS your lads and dads simple mill engine is a very nice little and i enjoyed making it and it runs superbly

              Hi Steve

I'm sorry but I seem to have missed your ? on the 1/6 that one slipped my net,

              :- part 14 is 28mm long

Regarding the centre the cylinder centre line:- I seem t have got my knickers in a twist with that one, the fabrication drawing shows 66.3, the machined drawing shows 56.3, (I think this is a typo) and the crank shaft adds up to 60.4 from 15+29.4+16

All I can say is as the fabrication comes first work to 66.3 and add 6mm to the centre portion of the crank.

              Hope this helps

Thanks for your kind comments regarding the lads and dads simple mill engine, I've been very surprised just how many people have built them, it would be nice to see a few in the magazine gallery.

              Cheers

              Stew
