The engine is still very much in the rough with quite a bit of finishing work to do, I hope it will end up a fair representation of the full size engine at Quary Bank Mill in Cheshire. I’ve got a governor drawn up for it.

I’ve posted drawings on other forums but these will have to be revised as I strayed a little as the build progressed.

What is the source of the “beat” in this engine as heard on the video?

                          Hi K

I don’t really know where the double beat comes from its double acting so I guess it may have something to do with that my loco which is a similar arrangement sounds the same.
The wooden base will also be acting as a sounding board.

Thanks for your interest and question.

                                  Hi folks
Stewart and Bogs came round to my place yesterday, and Stew brought his engine to show me. What can I say ? Excellent job, I will even buy ME when the article appears.
                                  Cheers Derek

Just worked out why the buttons at the top wont work, its all down to the mac, they work fine on the laptop running on microsoft.

I like the look of your engine and I am going to have a shot at building one.

I gathered from the Model Engineer that your model will be about 1:4 and the measurements in metric. As I have a limited French vocabulary and the old eyesight does not like 10BA, I thought I would try somewhere near 1:3 and measure in English.

Question: Will your drawings accompany the articles in ME? Will the drawings be available to buy from another source?
