CAN YOU TRY TO USE THE EXISTING COMMENTS OR TESTING THREADS SO THAT THE MODERATORS AND ADMIN HAVE A BETTER CHANCE OF KEEPING TRACK OF COMMENTS RATHER THAN HAVING TO LOOK THROUGH MULTIPLE THREADS.

ALSO PLEASE READ TO SEE IF YOUR COMMENT HAS BEEN COVERED AND ANSWERED ALREADY WE ARE GETTING A LOT OF THE SAME THING BEING SAID TIME AND TIME AGAIN.

Still getting people starting new threads for things that have been raised many times before

It makes it harder as we have to go through them all rather than spend time dealing with things that have been raised again and again.

Nothing much happening compared to the old site, it seems really difficult to find anything no current entries page no wanted page no adverts index page and really clunky. Sorry but I must be getting old.

Morton’s seem to have a death wish with this site, so user unfriendly and slow.

If it continues this way then I can see it dying.

I used to visit every day, but now if it was not for the likes of Jason etc I don’t think I can be bothered to trawl through it.

The page is beginning to look a bit better now we have mid grey dividers on the threads but it’s the main page that needs something to improve it.

For e.g The headings are in a pale blue and look washed out, can the fonts be a different colour and be in bold lettering? See the image from another forum I frequent,  lettering here could be  orange or green to remind us of the old ME forum

Much as I like Warco, having them pop up every few seconds is driving me mad.

Can’t say I’m impressed so far with the new format – much like all the other forums – rather bland and boring I’m afraid.

A current Irritation Is the number of emails being sent that finish in my junk file.

How can I stop the sending of these emails?

Go to Profile on the green bar and select profile

Select Settings on the screen that comes up

Select e-mail from the screen that then comes up

Mark what if any email notifications you want. I suggest leaving the bottom private message one on but the other soff.

Thank you Michael for your suggestion. I have turned all the email categories off but this morning again I had 20+ emails on various activities within the forum in my junk box.

How can I turn off the receipt of emails from this forum.

Hi Paul,

Another possibility is that ‘Follow’ has been switched on.  It causes member to get an email every time someone posts in the topic.

The Blue Follow button is in the Topic Header, right hand side, under the big red Forum Help/FAQs:

Clicking “Follow” toggles it to “Unfollow”.   Make sure it says ‘Follow’.

Also, make sure the ‘Notify me of follow-up replies via email’ tickbox at the bottom of the editor pane isn’t ticked accidentally. I’ve done it a couple of times, pressing the Tab key I think.

Thanks for your posting Dave, the button is at the top on the right hand side was set to Unfollow this I have now changed as you suggested to follow. I have done as you suggested although it does seem illogical.

The bottom tick box was as you indicated had been operated this I have now unticked.

Am watching the junk box .
