Would some kind person that uses Safari PLEASE tell me how to make this forum "Remember me" … I keep ticking the box but it still dumps me out at apparently random times.

Note: The behaviour seems to have changed since the black banner about cookies was removed.

Thanks in anticipation of my return to sanity.

Are you trying to login in on more than one machine at the same time?

If you signin on your Mac, and then you sign in on your ipad it will sign you out of the Mac. (You can only be signed in on 1 machine/platform at any one time)

It may well be true, although I cannot honestly see why it needs to be … the cookies are stored separately on every machine that you use.

Yes, it is true (and has always been). If you log on from a second machine you lose the "stay logged in" status on the first. (whether or not either or both machines stay physically online or powered up).

Like you, I don't see how that can be done via local cookies. Seems to me it has to store the staus or a flag at the server.

I can't stay logged i.

Gave up a long while ago.

Roboform works well.

I use it on most of my passwords except financial ones.

Yes; the iPad seems to "Remember me" as it should

[provided that I do not log-on via another machine]
