I have tried to find out who was running the stand selling plastic boxes at the ME Exhibition at Sandown last year but have failed!

I wonder if you can help me David please?

Hi John, do you mean these people.

              http://www.bbeng.co.uk/

They were at The London Exhibition as well as Sandown, and are usually at the Midlands.

              Regards Nick

Hi Nick, It might be bbeng.co.uk but the web site is 'coming soon' so there is no info other than a phone number and an email address. It certainly seems like them, I'll try after the holiday.

Hi John, forgot to say the the people in the link in my last post were selling plastic boxs of all sorts of sizes at the last three exhibitions that I've been to.

                      Regards Nick.

There's a guy attends Rufforth ( nr York) autojumble every month who seels "really useful boxes" products very reasonably.

                          Robert and Nicholas,

Duncan Armstrong has been in touch and confirms what Nicholas wrote so I'm sure that I know who it is I'm looking for now. Could well be the same guy that you mention Ian.

Thanks for the help with this,

I got dragged (kicking and screaming) into one of the larger Tesco stores over the bank holls and noticed they had plastic boxes of all sizes.

Hi Bob, thanks for suggesting Tesco. I posted on Mod Eng Clearing House before I realised that the ME forum would be best. Tesco do indeed stock boxes made by 'Reallyusefulproducts' but I haven't seen the shape I require.

Staples used to do realy useful boxes, all shapes and sizes.

                                        They probably still do.

                                        regards David

                                          Thanks David,

Staples do stock boxes made by Reallyusefulproducts.co.uk but I might have to order if I buy from there as it seems they don't normally keep the size I need. It is possible to buy direct from Reallyusefulproducts.co.uk.

I would add my recommendation for Really Useful Boxes; they are not the cheapest around, but their quality is first rate whereas cheaper ones are usually disappointing. I have scores of the things, from very small to quite large; the small and medium ones are used for socket screws (of which I have several lifetimes' supply), cutting tips, milling cutters, bearings and the like. Larger ones are mainly for storing metal offcuts; they seem to have survived several years' use in that without apparent damage, and the amount I put in each is limited more by my ability to hump them around than their intrinsic strength.

Went to Hobby World tonight (blew £2.95 on a Revell SE5a, my favourite aeroplane). They had lots of boxes from matchbox size up to ~7 draws in a stack for about £32 – so a bit pricy, but good quality.
