Hi to you all, This is my first time on your forum, I am a wood-turner, but I have a progress number 1, drill ,that I have recently refurbished, I am missing one part, and I wondered if anyone could help, There should Be a Spring to lift the pulley cover to change the belt, but this is missing, could any one tell me if the manufacturers of my drill are still in business,or where I may purchase such a spring, the length of the spring, and also the O/D would be a useful starting place for the purchase, if you have such a drill, I would be most grateful for any information . many thanks OLD TIMER

If you can find details of the spring then there is a company in Nottingham called Kato Entex who will most likely have it in stock. You will need to know the diameter of the wire as well. I have in the past bought a range of springs around my best guess as they are not particularly expensive and they have a minimum order (£3-00 I think)
