      This come come with the lathe and I have no idea what it is for – there is quite a few of them all with morse tapers, this one is 48mm

          It looks like what is sold as a 'soft blank arbor'. Check with a file to confirm the first of these words.

            Looks like a morse taper blank to me, enables one to put whatever one wants on a morse taper shank.

                Are they formers for making copper ends for steam engine parts made by spinning and shaping on a lathe. I have made the ends of a boiler with a similar shape but just held in a chuck.20200512_131733.jpg
