I am within a day of completing my latest engine (deep sigh!). After a short break I would like to have a go at an oversize Bogstandards "Paddleduck".
Only thing is, I was browsing around on YouTube a month or so ago and viewed a video clip showing a Paddleduck "like" engine with a reverser gear. While the engine was being being run the owner/builder gave a commentary. He had a northern (UK) accent but try as I may I cannot find that video again.
I would like to build the paddleduck – with a reverser – but I need more guidance via schematics/drawings/explanations as my experience of constructing small stationary engines does not go beyond the plain vanilla flavour "D" valve single with no bells or whistles.
While on the subject of personal ignorance I would like to modify an existing scratch built stationary engine I built years ago by adding a centrifugal governor but have no idea where to start – is there any general info out there?
Any advice would be appreciated.
