I'm a nooby and am just purchasing my first mill, I had a look at the Warco WM12 but it is too small in the spindle to table size (280mm max) as I want to put a rotary table and chuck on there.
I could however use this setup if I used a smaller rotary table and chuck and then created overhanging soft jaws to clamp it. So maybe having a 4" chuck clamping 6" work.
As the work is plastic and soft I wonder if this is an option or if this kind of thing would be a definite no no?
The reason I ask is that I only realistically have 2 pieces of work this size, the rest would be well within the 4", or even 3"chuck diameter.
