Used a number 4 on me clippers, took it of to trim moustache and guess who didn't put the bloody thing back on before final trim, I am now eligible to join the local gang !!Â
Artists call that a happy accident and make a feature of thier mistakes.. a litle teak oil in the centre and mahogany stain at the sides…should polish up nicely…

It's a sort of negative mohican…
Happened to me – asked my wife to do the back, she took the depth bit off to do the back of my neck, put it back on for a final run over and 'somehow' it fell off without her noticing…
Did similar at last trim time. Took trimmer head off to trim moustache, then started to trim along jawbone without putting it back – result one bald patch on right cheek.
So had to trim all the beard down to "designer stubble".
Take comfort from the old gardener's saying "growth follows the knife".
I wouldn't worry about it Mick. I've been developing an extra wide centre parting hair-cut for years now and see no reason why it shouldn't carry on down the back of my neck.
There is consolation. It's well known that bald chaps are much more virile than those unfortunate full-thatch types.
I had a near new set of wahl l clippers die on me halfway through converting my noggin to skinhead mode , had to put a beanie on in the middle of summer and go and buy a new set .
people give you really strange looks when you walk around a shopping centre with a beanie on when its 40 c outside !
