Has anyone else had a problem with getting Mytime media to cough up a subscription copy of the magazine that didn't arrive. In my case I didn't get the IMLEC issue no 4490 by the time I realised it wasn't going to be delivered ie 2 weeks after publication date it was listed as out of stock on the Mytime subscription page. A phone call produced the information it wasn't available however the MyHobbystore back numbers page has it available and this was confirmed when I called them and I could have a copy if I paid for it.Transmitting that info to Mytime has had no effect whatsoever there are no stocks available for thme they say but they will put a note on the file. Is this a case of left and right hand or just a means of extracting extra revenue from subscribers.

          Hello George,

In case of non-delivery you should contact mytimedia@subscription.co.uk or call 0844 543 8200. Normally you would be sent a replacement copy as soon as possible.

          I've 'escalated' this for you.

When MyTimeMedia screwed up my Direct Debit which caused me to miss a couple of issues, they couldn't (or wouldn't) supply me the missing copies ….. I had to get them off EBay

It is incredibly frustrating that they don't keep a few copies in stock for a month or two as a service to subscribers to replace the magazines that inevitably go missing in the mail.
One of the chief advantages of a subscription is an uninterrupted supply, specially important for magazines like ME (and to a lesser extent MEW) with articles spread over multiple issues.

I missed an issue of MEW last year which I only realised had gone missing once I received the following issue. I immediately contacted MyTimeMedia who informed me that only a month later they no longer had the issue in stock.

A few days later I just happened to be browsing the Reeves web site when I noticed that they carry back issues including the one I was missing, so rather then fight a losing battle with MyTimeMedia, I ordered it online from Reeves who delivered it promptly.

George, I see that they do have 4490 in-stock **LINK** which may be your best chance of getting it replaced

I am making sure that all this feedback gets to the people who need to hear it. be assured they are trying to sort out these issues which do, mercifully, apply to a very small number of individuals. I do appreciate that if you are one of those few, it's not particularly comforting.

With many thanks for your help with my issues of missing issue 221 it seems I am not alone!

I thought it was just me who had problems with the subscriptions each year! GMC publications send you a reminder when your sub is running out even when it's direct debit! ie before the renew the debit!

Makes you feel in control rather than just a number.

I have seen a number of 'missing issue' reports for 221, probably almost as many as for every other issue since I started. I have enquired to see if its possible that a batch has gone astray.

Just to add to Neil's comments, the number of subs issues that do go astray is very small indeed but, if it happens to you it is infuriating. Never hesitate to contact the Editors directly if you prefer not to air your complaint on the forum and feel you are not getting answers by other routes.

It may, or may not, be relevant to this discussion, but; I have just noticed that there seems to be some confusion on this page, around the MEW issue-numbering.

Never had any problem getting a copy when the subscription one did not come. One time about twenty years ago, I wrote off to get one forewarded, it arrived about a week later, then at the same time as the next one, the previous (missing one) arrived too, very odd.

Thank you to Neil for the escalation, I have received a message from Mytime saying they do have copies and will be sending one out to me. I am grateful for all the suggestions and responses to point me in the right direction. It would appear to have been the second team that responded to my telephone calls and gave out the wrong information.

COULD ANYONE WHO HAS NOT RECEIVED ISSUE 221 LET ME KNOW, PLEASE!

Include your name, email and address (and subs number, if you know it, it should be on your profile).

Copies of the past three issues are kept in case of non-delivery.

One problem is that people contact MyHobbyStore instead of MyTimeMedia subscriptions in the case on non-delivery.

Always ring 0844 543 8200 not teh MyHobbyStore number.
