I'm not a new member but I must put some words to contact persons who have something I want. I'm very interested in all live steam (from gauge 3" 1/2 to 5" locomotive). I read a lot of Model Engineer, I learn a lot. It's the best model magazin I know.

I bought an incomplete live steam from this website 5 years ago but I couldn't finish it because the cooper boiler remaind to weld and it's not easy to find somebody to do it. I thought buy one new but we must wait 2 years on average.

I like going the Warwick exhibition to see how much people continue to build themself their models. I well appreciate their works

            Hello Olivier,

            Good to hear from you.

Could you give a few more details of your loco? That will help find a suitable boiler.

I will then change the name of this thread to increase the chance of finding one.

            Neil

              Hi Neil,

The loco is a mountainer in 3 1/2 inch gauge.

The tubes of the boiler is only welded to the back side (cab side).

              Olivier

                Welcome!

You mentioned the Warwick Exhibition, (Did you mean the Midlands M E Show at the Fosse?)

Where are you based? If you join a local Model Engineering Club, you are very likely to get advice and practical help.

if you don't mind travelling, come to the Peterborough Society of Model Engineers 21st Rally at Sacrewell Farm over 16th and 17th July. The site is just off the A47 at Wansford, about 7 miles west of Peterborough.

You are sure to pick up some advice and help from folk there.

                Howard
