No access to MEW digital archive

Perhaps I have misunderstood this but Smoke Rings in ME 4424 seems to suggest that as a paper subscriber to ME, I get access to the digital MEW archive?

When I click on "Extras" I am am invited to test access to ME and MEW issues and archives. All links work OK. When I click on " Go to Digital Archive" I only have a link to the ME archive.

Is something wrong or have I misunderstood?

When you do , under the trial issues you will see a link to access the digital issue.

Paper subscribers to Model Engineer get access to ME digital issues and Model Engineers' Workshop paper subscribers get access to MEW digital issues.

Did I get it wrong?

I am logged in but David's post clarifies the position although I still don't understand why the test link to MEW digital archive works for me.

I remember the old adage "If it looks too good to be true it probably is"

You should be able to access a trial copy of MEW.

Hi David,

Yes – no problem in accessing a trial copy of MEW but to clarify exactly what happens.

After signing in I click "Extra" and get a screen called "Subscribers Extra". On this screen there are two ME covers and two MEW covers. Each pair comprise a sample mag and a sample archive. All 4 are working links and take me to a mag as appropriate. No problem with any of that.

When I then click "Go to Digital Archive" I only get access to ME.
