A bit ar*e about face this, since I've already made use of the help forum!
Anyhow, by way of introduction, I'm a mechanical engineer, apprentice trained and in the aerospace industry for 15 yrs, then into oil & gas for the past 25 yrs. My real passion is classic cars, having an MGB I've been restoring for more years than I care to remember, but I also inherited a Myford series 7 from my Dad about 18mths ago. It's been invaluable for general turning work and helping to repair / refurbish parts for the MG along the way.

Hi Nick, I'm just up the road a bit in Gloucester (Tuffley). I'm fairly new to metal working but been woodworking most of my life and I find many of the skills needed are similar. Having fun anyway.
