      Hi everyone,

I thought it was about time I registered and introduced myself after lurking on the outside for sometime.

Recently retired after latterly working in the fabrication industry and prior to that servicing industrial pumping equipment for a number of years.

In the garage I have an 80 year old Rivett lathe with a lot of other equipment built up over the years, and when it gets too cold out there I have a small room in the house with a Sherline lathe and mill set up beside a radiator…

I have managed to acquire the casting and drawings for Les Chenery’s Gnome rotary so hoping to make a start on that shortly so expect some questions to be asked, it should keep me going for the next few years.

      Cheers

that's going to keep you busy but the end result will be something special. I am working on a 0.1 Ci single at the moment and the problem of limits and fits is stretching me I fear, best of luck and keep us updated

                    Thanks noel,

I think I might have a copy of the manual buried somewhere on a book shelf, I seem to recall buying it from Camden Steam 20 years ago or so…will have to have a rummage, thanks for reminding me about this.

                      Welcome!

A rotary is an interesting, and probably, testing project.

Well worth documentinmg as it prgofresses.
