Thanks for the add guys, I've recently purchased a Myford ML10 which has not been used in some years. Although it's in good condition I'm keen to recommission it and use it in anger. My main reason for the purchase was to graduate from a cheap small lathe to something more capable. I'm planning to use it for small engineering jobs in support of my other hobby of classic motorcycles. I will apologise for the daft questions now but thanks in advance for any help.

Hi Paul welcome to the forum. Can you give some more details of your new lathe, is it rusty, has it been lubricated with the correct oils in the past and where in the country are you. It may help if you can put some pictures on here it will help to assist you with info.

            Welcome Paul

Don't be afraid to ask, there was a time when none of us had seen let alone operated a lathe, and had to learn.

Having had a lathe, you are already some way up the learning curve.

None of us get it right every time, which is part of the learning process.

Almost every post contains something of interest.

You will plenty of other classic bike enthusiasts on here, so are not alone.

            Howard
