What size of lathe you look mto mpurchase will depend on what you want to make.
TIP
If possible buy a machine alittle larger bthan you think.
Your horizons will expand ,so you don’t want to find that your machine is too small for what you then want to do.
If you are in the market for a new lathe, there are many machines from which to choose.
DON’T rush!
If looking for a secondhand machine, there will be even more choices.
Many a good tune played on an old fiddle! (Fantastic work being done on Myford ML7s which were introduced in 1947, earlier Myfords, and on Boxfords and even older Drummonds)
