Pages 75 and 76 of the MEWM are what I had in mind. However, the commentary by William Bennett does not support the idea that GHT's grinder was the genesis for the Worden but rather for the Stent and Kennet.

Pages 75 and 76 occur at the end of GHT's chapter On Parting Off where he suggests how to modify the standard form of tool with vee groove and vee front:

Worden users will have a better view as to whether the Hemingway attribution is justified; certainly the tilting table and graduated scale seem to be represented in the Worden design.

Incidentally, the penultimate paragraph is worth noting (despite its unconnected clauses!).
