I started this locomotive some years ago and am 8o% complete. It was designed by David Piddington and drawings and castings were sold through Reeves.They told me few sets had been sold, I was amongst the first. I would be interested to contact anyone who has built or is building this loco to exchange experience.

I noticed your enquiry some weeks back, but didn’t reply thinking I would leave it till later – and forgot. However it seems a good time to send you Christmas greetings and best wishes for a Happy New Year.

  

In regard to your particular enquiry I haven’t heard of any other builders of “Nechells” or “Saltley”, not indeed of my “Washington” of late.  Perhaps Piddington designs are so good that they don’t attract the interest of others such as Martin Errors et al?

 

It would be good to hear from you again. Have you a pic of your loco as I would like one for my own files?
