On a miserable Bank Holiday weekend; you could do much worse than look at these, on the N.P.L. website.

They are even asking for comments on two that are currently v0

          Well Michael

The sun is shining down here in Devon! ( Don't know how long it will last though)

Miserable weekends are good for decorating! So get down to your local D – I – Y store, stock up some paint and brushes, and spend the holiday earning some brownie points that can be exchanged for "hassle-free" workshop vouchers to be used at a later date. All that reading is not contributing to productive workshop projects and you will STILL have to decorate the spare room at some time!

Me? I'm off for a gentle stroll down a shady lane with my dog to work up an appetite for lunch.

              Hi Bob

A friend of mine made a B1 many years ago and I recall holding an extra Oxy torch at times during boiler construction! A very attractive and powerful loco – but make sure that you have some good lifting aids – it's bloomin heavy!

How close are you to completion?

I trust your canine mates managed to persuade you of the sense in supporting your local Landlord.

                Hi Mich
Has someone nothing better to do than produce this, Hi Norman, Yes have some good lifting gear as made a 7.25g Hunslet with a steel boiler some years ago. and also restoring a 3" Fowler Traction Engine for the club. Oh the dogs talked me into it how can you resist 2 pairs of big brown eyes when they know they are going to get a bag of crisps. One of them actually comes up to me taps me on the leg and I know it is 1:00.
I am more than two thirds way finishing and look forward to steaming at the BSMEE track at Ashton Court.

                Bob.

                  Bob.

The world's premier "Physical Laboratory" tries some public outreach, and even asks for constructive input … and this is the response.

                  How very sad.

I found the site quite interesting. Piqued my interest enough that i'll probably buy one of the books from the further reading list. Thank you for posting the link.
