Mystery Tools

I have recently been given a selection of tools following a garage clean out. Nearly all are known to me and have already gone into service. I have however been given one tin of tools that I can’t identify and neither can anybody in my class at CNWL. I have attached some images that I would love somebody to look at and tell me what the tools are.

There are a selection of cutting tools held within the small gold canisters (all marked with size) and two holders. They are all fine with nothing over 1/16th.

I wonder if these have something to do with watch making but really I have no idea.

Could be clock makers broaches, how many flutes do they have?

They look like “spear” point drills – probably a watchmakers set

It’s hard to tell for sure, but the last pic looks like it could be a Spade Drill.

Clockmakers’ pivoting drills, and the arbours appear to be the type that will fit either a clockmakers’ bushing tool similar to the Bergeon bushing set, a staking anvil, or a drilling tailstock attachment

The collars appear to be adjustable depth stops.

Depending how small the drills go, there could be watchmaking drills amongst them, probably pocket rather than wristwatches.

 

If you don’t want or need them, I can give them a very appreciative home
