Hi could anyone help to identify this engine please

Looks like an atmospheric engine where an ignition flame would be drawin in through the hole part way down the cylinder side, there were quite a few made by different makers, Beeco had six spoke flywheels rather than the more common eight.

Worth asking on the Small Power Facebook group, there was one a few days ago if you scroll down

Wonder if it could be a very early version of Beng's 'Karl' hit & miss engine. The current model looks basically the same but with more additional features. Worth a look at their website http://www.bengs-modellbau.de/en/

Tip: Always useful to include a 6 or 12" ruler in the photo so as to easily show the size of the item if you aren't including measurements in the text.

The 1:1 gearing points to atmospheric rather than a 4-stroke like the Karl
