      Hello,

I was wondering if anyone can recognise this type of arbor? It comes from an Ajax AJ8 Horizontal Milling machine. I browsed online, and all Milling arbors appear to be tapered. Ideally I would like to get a new one, as this one has some rough grooves on it, and wasn’t running true. The machine was very much secondhand, and had been dropped by the previous owner!

      Many thanks,

      Nicholas

Looks like the drawbar been sheared off in the back-end..?

I’d try search terms such as ‘Straight shank-  (or) ‘Lug drive- Horizontal Milling Arbor’

..you might be better off making one (or persuading someone to make one for you)..?
