Hi guys. I just need to share with all you Myford owners out there an amazing discovery.
I have two Myford pump type oilers which work very well if oiling myself is the objective!!

I think some oil may go where it is supposed to but can’t really be sure.

I have recently purchased a new oil pump and have to say it is 100% satisfactory 👍🏻
It oils where it should and doesn’t cover me in oil 😃

Here is a link to where I bought it and was only £17,00

I hope this helps to make some of you as happy as I am

I bought one of those some time ago. Very good. Only just discovered if you undo the rear cap & hold the pump nozzle down, the whole nozzle assembly extends. When finished simply undo the cap again , so air can escape & push the nozzle assembly back in.

MEW No.178, Page 46. An Oiler for the Myford Lathe. I made one, and it works very well – better than the original oiler, of which I have two.

Made from the scrap box and used an oil can I already had. The conversion f the oil can was non destructive.

My experience of the genuine article was thast I would never rust, but had doubts about how much oil went I wanted it to go.

So bought a Reilang and use far less oil than before, 'cos it it goes where it should. But now I creak!

I bought one of these and the nozzle is too fat to fit into the back gear to reach the oil nipple there and the gun is too long to fit between the nipple on the back of the saddle and my splash back. So I'll be making the above mentioned oil can adaptor anyway.

The one linked to is a Wanner oil pump. They are good and there are a number of options for oil/grease and different nozzle types. The original myford guns were a very old Tecalemit design that could have been improved when new inventions such as plastics became available.

And yes, I have and use a both types.

This is where mine came from. They had the ends I needed for the recessed spherical cups in my Beaver milling machine.
