If you Google "ML7 Manual pdf" you can find a copy the original Myford manual, which has a basic dimensioned sketch for installation purposes. In a quick look, this does not show the covers in the open position though.

I have a S7 & could get an indication of the gearchange cover overhang when opened – I don't think there would be much difference here, though the spindle belt cover is quite a bit different ? My machine is also on the Myford cabinet, if dimensions of that would be of interest.
