Myford ML7 bed Dimensions

Hi

Could someone please let me know the dimensions for the myford ML7 bed as I am needing to know the size because I think it may be the same as my Murad lathe and i need to order a dro that clips to the front wey am hoping it will be the same as my Murad I have a bed width overall of 6″ and the front wey is 36mm or 1 13/32″ and 1/2″ depth, please could somebody help

Straight off the top of my head, they are different – the ML is only about 4 1/2″ across the full width of the bed, and IIRC the front shear is 1 and (something like) 17/64 (~44mm), and the back one is 1 3/8..

If you don’t  get definitive confirmation by the time I finish work I’ll go and measure up for you..

..they are 1/2 deep though..

I’m quite interested in how you will fit a scale on the front shear? – won’t there be interference with the saddle / apron and other assemblies?

As far as I know most people usually mount them at the rear where there are less obstructions..
