Seems to  be a rare beast:

If it looks like the picture and has the 3 jaw chuck and all the change wheels then I think you would a have a good lathe for the money

Anything in this world, a house, a car or a lathe is only worth as much as a buyer is prepared to pay or as little as the vendor is prepared to accept, that is the reality of the market place. You either want the lathe or you don’t, if you do want it the price is acceptable, if you don’t want it the price is too high. But be forewarned, whatever lathe you buy for this hobby of ours, henceforth you will never have your hand out of your pocket!

Just a thought but how does the drive from the spindle get to the change wheels ? There is no obvious gear train, is this screw cutting or simply power feed from a belt ? Noel

The banjo with the gear train needs to be swung up to mesh with the pinion on the end of the spindle.

One issue I can see with the lathe is that the way the cover opens means you can’t place it up against a wall. This could result in a lot of wasted space in a small workshop.

                    Just take the cover off

Taking the cover off the lathe leaves it in a dangerous state. The belt and gear covers normally fitted to a ML 10 have been removed from the Euro 10.
Suggesting removing or disabling safety devices is irresponsible.

                      Robert.
