In some articles in ME it sometimes says " after a turning operation, remove the chuck from the lathe and transfer to rotary table, carry out milling operation then return chuck to lathe"

I've got a Chester conquest super with an 80mm chuck. How can I mount the chuck on a rotary table.

I believe the chuck mounting is "bolt on" style with this lathe.

You would need to make some form of adaptor/spacer plate to fit on the rotary table, with clearance to allow the bolts to be inserted into the back of the chuck, thus clamping it to the table adaptor.. Maybe a reader of this Forum has done just that?

            Hi Eric,

I have a Clarke CL300m which takes the same chucks.

You will need some sort of intermediate plate if you have an ordinary rotary table, or an adaptor that allows you to fit the chuck to a morse taper that fits the table. I think Arc do these tapers.

I made my own rotary table/dividing head with a 'spool' shaped end that the chuck fits directly on to (see pic below), or alternatively can fit my faceplate to make a 'normal' rotary table.
