So I thought I'd post a few pics of my first project on my Clarke lathe/mill.

My wife asked me to make her some foot pegs and gearshift/break pedal in brass for her CCM bobber. I know brass is easy to work with but I have to say I'm very pleased with the results considering I have no previous experience. More importantly my wife is very happy which is always a good thing! 😉

Very smart, she'll have to wipe her feet before she gets on.

Very nice and a lot easier to machine than the aluminium bronze I have just done a batch of Matchless G15 CSR brake peddles in. The reason I had aluminium bronze castings is that they will bend rather than snap if the bike is dropped. Ali/Brz is not nice to machine.

Castings are still not fettled as yet only the machining is done so they still look rough. I will try and get a picture if I can remember how to post it.
