I have recently won this lathe on ebay. I offer it here in the hope that someone may remember it. It is a beautiful model and having two drummonds (albeit, not this type) myself, I will be giving it a good home and putting it on display.

The lady who I have bought it from says her brother made it and entered it into the ME Exhibition, where it won a prize, and that an article in the magazine was written on it. This she knows was any time between 1980 and 2011 but could not give any more of an idea of a year.

Can anyone help me? I hope to find the magazine that she recalls and show and tell her more when I go to collect it.

Do you know the brothers name? …. If so use one of the ME Index's and search on the author's name.

Wow, that is awesome. Putting it on display? Surely you need to get it set up and running? You could use it to make a full range of accessories for itself. Change gears, steadies etc etc.

              ME3381 has a "1/3 full-size Drummond lathe by H.E.White" on page 1142… which is missing in my archive… so I can't peek to see, 3381 is 1969

              Havent found anything else yet

Thank you for the responses, I only know the man's first name – Philip.

I may well make the extras but the apron is missing so this would have to be made first.
