Is there a record anywhere of past winners of medals and trophies at the Model Engineer Exhibition,that it is possible to view? I've tried Google; no luck.

As far as I know you would have to look back at old issues that gave the results though there is a very slim chance that MTM have records.

How far do you need to go back?

Hi Jason, only back to the 80,s or 90,s I think. I was fortunate enough to be awarded a gold medal and the Tom Nevins trophy, for a pendulous stationary engine By Dr. Erns Alban. Due to a mix up on my part, no pictures were published, or I would have copy of the ME to refer to. I am now trying to label the model properly and need the correct date.

Jason, thanks for the offer of help, but thanks to my wife having more brains than me, the problem is solved. Look at the medal !!! (1996). Sorry if I put you to any trouble. I am a bit surprised that no records are kept.

There may well be records kept, Diane or Neil would know for sure. Particularly where trophys are awarded as they need to know where to go looking for them the following year.

I would guess the SMEE may have some records going back further than ours, we only have the magazine records which are not very detailed for all but the last 25 years or so.
