Nice to see Ted Jolliffe making a contributon to the latest ME. I wasn't a subscriber in his day, but have many of 'his' back issues!

The IH Mogul by Johan van Zenten is a nice model, and an interesting contrast with Tony Webster's IH Titan of some time ago.

Yes the IHC tractor is very nice. I'd be tempted to make one for the 1/3rd scale Galloway engine I'm making at the moment if their version wasn't such an ugly subject.

I've had a panicked email from Diane. What is wrong with the steam chest drawing, other than the 5/8 dimension for the internal space being next to the wrong view?

Left hand drawing shows 3/32" hole and 5/32" counter bore.

Right shows 3/16" reamed hole and 7/32" counterbore

And if I really wanted to get picky you show eliptical glands being machined yet the drawings show 4 tangental faces

LH dimensions are correct.

3/16 would be a pretty meaty valve rod!

Drawings are the nearest to an 'ellipse like shape' I could manage!
