            Hi Keel, like Diogenes I have no idea what a BMET ML10 is, nor does a quick scan of lathes.co.uk reveal any likely candidates.   “ML-10” suggests a Myford ML10 clone, but they don’t have powered cross-slides, as far as I know.

            The first step is to identify it.    Please post some photos!  Also, dimensions, markings, your country, and any history, especially where you got the machine.

                Bit of a long shot, but is this Warrington Model Engineering Developments. Many years ago this was an electric motor driven add on for Myford ML7/S7/ML10 size lathes.

                I’ve no idea what voltage, is there no marking on the motor? It will be low. The chap who sold these was a member of our club, but he is long gone.

                    Hi chaps,

                    Sorry I missed this thread.  I’ve just put a meter across the WMED control unit output and it goes from 0 to 30 volts dc.
