Well over 20 years ago I bought a set branded as The International Tool Company and they have served me well.
Their only obvious disadvantage is that the actual screwdriver ends are quite short, so I occasionally have a problem reaching small screws in deep holes.
        Recently I spotted some which look identical but a different colour labelled as;
CK Tools T4896 Precision Multi Blade Screwdriver Set

I bought a box off eBay, with a discount coupon, but I’m sure they are available elsewhere too;  check around, the price varies.

I’ve not used them much, since they were bought as a spare set, but they seem OK, and hopefully as good as my original red ones.

edit, it looks like RDG sell them too

I bought one of these sets:
          http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0921NTGDJ
Not the cheapest but very comprehensive aand good quality. It covers a lot of the specials and “security” screws used in a lot of modern items.

          Robert.

I’ve had Halfords’ 6-piece set in blue plastic since I can’t remember when – probably 20 years or so – and they’ve served my needs quite nicely. I was quite surprised to see they’re still selling it – 6 quid – and I hope the quality’s still the same.

On mine the steel has stood up to some fairly brutal use, including regrinding for forgotten reasons. I’ve turned the handle of the #1 Phillips bit to expose a bit more shank for a deep hole, but I’d buy the same set again if the one I have got lost or the casing broke up irretrievably.

Kennedy-Pro Pro-Torq Precision screwdrivers, in sets of 7 or 9, are good drivers and good value.

                      I just buy them individually.

The 25 piece Wera (05134000001) Kraftform Micro Big Pack covers most needs, but lacks a T9 Torx.

It all depends on what you mean by “good”.  Bergeon are a respected Swiss manufacturer:

That RS set is currently £11.46, unless you’re VAT exempt. The same set, branded Kennedy, is currently £7.99 incl. VAT at Zoro. They were actually under £5 a few weeks ago. They may well go down again.

I have a couple of nice sets, a double ended set like in the first post that’s branded Wickes and is very useful. I have a less diverse six-driver set with decent plastic handles and rotating caps branded Stanley that I keep handy as it does 90% of small jobs.

Both sets are good tough steel and stand up to use well, unlike the ubiquitous cheap ‘jewellers screwdrivers’.

When my straight slot ones are worn/abused beyond repair I make new blades from pinion wire and it seems to work well.

I can’t speak to their quality but my other half got me this set for Christmas. Hard to imagine a situation it won’t cover and it comes with a flexible extension that could come in handy (we’re observing polish Christmas this year so we got presents a day early :p)PXL_20231224_202417124PXL_20231224_202406881

Ah! yes as Russell says Lisle Street was another favourite place.
