I sincerely hope that this is not a sign of things to come. – To have half an article in the magazine, then have to buy a book to complete it. This is the first time that I can remember this happening, and I am only missing two issues since No1.

Tha article was printed as it was useful and informative.

The bearing spindle is copyright to the book company so we could not publish it.

While I was not that miffed by the missing spindle plans I wonder if plain plans could have been provided.  Showing the overall layout of the spindle.

 

Surely the book’s copyright could not cover all spindles ever built and all dimensions.
