Does anyone know of a way to accurately measure the taper on Pultra 10mm collet or know what the taper is because I want to make some arbors to hold diamond discs.

        Hi
They are 30° included angle. I made some hex and square collet blocks to use them as work holders for milling.

That’s brilliant Phil thanks , also your idea to make collet blocks to be able to use them in the mill for small items is also an excellent one , hope you don’t mind me copying it.

          Much appreciated Dell

            Not at all.
Here are the other drawings. When you make the nut, try to ensure the thread is perpendicular to the two faces, and also that the two faces are parallel. That makes sure that you can stand it up in the milling vice and it will be nice and square before you nip it up.

By the way I too have a 17/70 Pultra with most of the available accessories.

Thanks for the other diagrams, I must admit I really like the Pultra 17/70 I had one previously including full set of collets and lots of accessories but because I am very short of space I sold it when I got the Myford but almost immediately regretted it so I have juggled my tiny shed and purchased another ( my shed is only 6’ X 6’ ) don’t get me wrong I do like the Myford especially now I have added 3 phase vfd and Rocketronics and I have made very small things on it including 12 BA screws but it’s so much easier to make them on the Pultra using a graver, I also have another small shed that my small mill is in along with all the gardening equipment.
